The native ‘Vavatsinia (mulberry tree) tree from which the settlement derives its name. This tree is located at the bottom of the village, near the creek. Above the creek, the road that connects the settlement to neighbouring communities passes. According to statements passed down from generation to generation, the tree existed prior to the development of the community.
The village’s trademark is the ancient pine tree. On the grounds of the Saint George coffee shop. The structure that houses the coffee shop was the village’s first schoolhouse. According to local elders, the school existed before Saint George’s Church, and the pine tree was planted by students.

The square and park located in the vicinity of the village stream, as well as the location of the community’s first well, which was the primary supply of drinking water at the time.
